At 4.8kW heat output the new compact Stovax County 3 will make a popular choice for homeowners looking for a truly traditional styled stove to install in an averaged sized living room or smaller fireplace opening where space is limited. Stovax have pared back some of the fussy old fashioned detailing so that what you get is a cleaner looking multi fuel stove with a gently arched air washed window that still makes a solid visual nod to its English heritage. The good news is that the Stovax County 3's cleaner classic looks are also backed up with state-of-the-art cleaner burning which has been Defra approved as standard and also surpasses the strict European Ecodesign air quality standards.

The cast iron door with robust hinges and thick steel bodywork ensure that the Stovax County 3 is going to be a proper little workhorse pumping out heat for many years to come. It weighs in at around 72kg (11.3 stone) which is a clear indication that Stovax haven't skimped anywhere on the Stovax County 3's build quality. For example there's a complete high quality cast iron fire chamber base with an open multi fuel grate in the centre which can be externally riddled. As you'd expect there's also a separate ash pan and compartment, all of which confirm the Stovax County 3's status as a genuine multi fuel stove.

The Stovax County 3 features internal heat shields to help deliver lower minimum safe distance to combustible materials and it has also been tested as suitable for installation with a 12 mm hearth (subject to building regulations) both of which widen the installation possibilities for this great little stove. At only 11" deep, 15.6' wide, and just under 21" high the Stovax County 3 is the perfect shape and size for the small fireplace opening and yet it will still easily handle 8" logs. The County 3 has a tested heat output range between 2kW to 5kW (depending on fuel load) which will also allow you to use it more often when the days are warm but the evenings are cool enough for a little welcome heat. To control this heat and impressive flames the Stovax County 3 has two separate responsive slider controls for precise combustion air management whether you're burning wood or approved smokeless coal products.
