At just over 26" high the Baked Apple stove with top oven makes a great off-grid cooking and heating solution 

The compact Baked Apple wood burning stove is actually the Ekol Apple Core stove but with the addition of their matching cast iron Top Oven module. The oven will easily take a 200mm diameter by 130mm high oven dish or 200mm square baking tray. With an overall height of just under 26", this not only makes the Baked Apple a great heating and cooking combination for smaller fireplace openings but also a highly practical solution for non-domestic 'off-grid' installations, such as garden offices, canal boats and shepherds' huts. In fact, anywhere you need to keep warm and would like to have the ability to rustle up some hot food then the Baked Apple is going to make an excellent companion. Apart from the top oven, the stove itself also comes with a reversible cast iron pizza / griddle shelf as standard and as part of the Apple Pie collection there's also a host of other useful options that you can add to the Baked Apple such as sturdy stainless steel right and left hand side pan shelves and stainless steel warming plate with top safety rail.

The Baked Apple's smaller 100mm (4") diameter top or rear fitted flue will certainly help with the safe operation of the reduced flue heights typical in 'off-grid' installations, as will its very controllable heat output range of 1.0kW up to 4.1kW which will be more than enough for the associated confined spaces of these type of buildings. Its 82% efficiency is at the top end for an ultra-low emissions Ecodesign stove and combined with Defra smoke exemption this makes the Baked Apple one of the most environmentally friendly compact wood burners you can buy. If you're stuck short term for a wood supply it will also burn smokeless coal. The all-cast-iron Baked Apple features low distances to combustible materials which can be further reduced with the optional steel heat shielding enclosure. The stove's wonderful contemporary looks can be further enhanced with a choice of nine designer colours, apart from the standard metallic black, either for the whole stove or simply just for contrasting doors.
