DOVRE SENSE 103 WOOD BURNING STOVE

The Dovre Sense 103 Wood Burning Stove is a distinctive all-cast iron contemporary styled 5kW wood burning stove available in traditional matt black or glossy pure white enamel. With its gentle curves (there's hardly a straight line on it) and its pleasing 285mm high legs the Sense 103 is in every sense truly a designer stove. Everything that would interfere with its cool looks has been removed or minimised. For example there's no door handle as such but simply a discrete push button on the right hand side wall to open the door. The Sense 103 features a tall virtually full width window with matching side windows to provide you with a 180º view of the fire. 

Efficiency is high, but sadly just half a per cent below 80%, so the Sense 103 misses out on an A+ rating by the smallest of margins. However this is more than compensated for by its clean-burning credential and Dovre's highly effective airwash system. It has a wide heat output range starting at 2.3kW and going up to 7.0kW thus ensuring that you'll be able to use this stove for most of the year and that it will also easily cope with the very coldest winter days. There's one simple user-friendly slider control just below the firebox to manage the combustion air and an open grate and ash pan for easier cleaning. The Sense 103 is suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas once the optional Defra smoke exemption kit is fitted to the stove. 

For modern low energy homes, or simply to help avoid cold draughts, the Sense 103 has built-in direct external air supply capability at the rear – all you have to buy is the non-combustible ducting and an outside grille cover. When it comes to installation the slimline Sense 103 has a depth of only 360mm and its 150mm top flue outlet (it also has a rear option) is positioned right on the back edge of the stove. This means that when it is installed with full twin wall connecting flue pipe, and the optional rear heat shield, this can significantly reduce the safe distances to combustible material at the rear as well as limit how far the stove and hearth needs to protrude from the wall behind it, whether it's a combustible wall or not.
