The Esse Warmheart S could be described as the 'slimmed down' version of the successful Warmheart cook stove. Where the Warmheart is more like a compact range cooker echoing its bigger brother the Ironheart and is therefore better suited to a kitchen-type installation, the S is essentially a 5kW room heating stove with a sophisticated hotplate (without the hinged hob lid or towel rail) which will therefore also look more at home in a living space. Its discrete cooking facility makes it a great choice as a back-up cooking facility, additional stand-by support for a busy kitchen or simply as the primary cooking facility for off-grid installations. Whatever way you look at it the British made and Defra approved Warmheart S is going to make a good looking practical choice for your home.
Visually, the Warmheart S has all of the iconic elements of the flagship Ironheart's timeless robust industrial chic – tall distinctive gently curved laser cut legs, full glass thick roll-moulded frame door with pronounced hinges, bumper-fronted hot plate and feature wide-swing combustion air slider control. Esse's After-burn technology keeps the emissions low, maximises efficiency and also helps the big window to stay clean. Convection panels also allow the stove to deliver user friendlier convection and radiated heat together. It will easily handle logs of 360mm (approx 14').
When it comes to cooking on the Warmheart S, the cook top features a large diameter graduated temperature hotplate in four distinct heat zones ranging from approximately 300ºCat the center to 190ºC at the outer edge. There's also plenty of space to pull saucepans away from the hotplate to keep the contents warm. A useful must-have barbecue shelf option which allows you to securely position a grille just over the dying embers to achieve the smoky flavours we all love. Alternatively you can place it higher, towards the top of the firebox, for warming food or for particular types of dishes. You can also upgrade your S at some later point with the optional hotplate cover which helps conserve heat and / or the towel rail, both of which can be easily retrofitted.
