CHARNWOOD C-SEVEN BLU WOOD BURNING STOVE
The beautifully proportioned Charnwood C-Seven Blu wood burner features a widescreen air washed window to maximise the view of the marvellous flame patterns inside its big fire chamber. This can easily handle logs up to 430mm (17”) long. The C-Seven is a highly practical stove that’s going to look great in a large fireplace or inglenook and will easily deliver plenty of heat to keep a medium to large sized living space comfortably warm. The C-Seven has a nominal output of 7.1kW with a heat output range of 6kW to 8kW (depending on the fuel load) which is precisely controlled using Charnwood’s patented Quattroflow combustion air management system. This features a single user-friendly push-pull control to ensure that the correct mix of primary and secondary combustion air is always supplied to the C-Seven’s fuel to promote much quicker starting and all-round cleaner burning fires. This system also helps maintain the C-Seven’s clear glass right up until the fire goes out.
The Defra approved Charnwood C-Seven’s clean burning credentials have additionally been recognised by the award of a top Level 5 rating in the independently verified ClearSkies emissions scheme. This scheme has been devised to identify the most environmentally friendly stoves that operate well below the tough Ecodesign emissions limits. As you’d expect from the country’s leading stove manufacturer Charnwood’s all British C-Seven not only performs well but is also extremely well built with an unrivalled attention to detail. The C-Seven is made from heavy gauge steel and has a premium quality fine cast iron door with robust stay-cool wooden grip door handle to weigh in at a staggering 115kg for the open-fronted low plinth version. That’s nearly 50% more than the weight of the equivalent average stove and will create a significant slow release heat sink long after the fire eventually dies out.
The C-Seven can be installed on a 12mm non-combustible decorative hearth and when Charnwood’s optional external air kit is specified you get direct air supply capability which is an essential requirement for post-2008 homes if you want to avoid having to add a draughty building regulations dedicated air vent’. The C-Seven has a rear heat shield option to reduce the safe distances to combustible materials to less than half at just 240mm at the back of the stove. If you have to use the rear flue option there’s also a space-saving vertical rear flue adaptor which will significantly reduce the gap that you normally need compared to a swept bend or T-piece. When you use the rear flue you can also specify the handy cast iron cooking plate for the top of your stove which will allow you to rustle up hot tasty food at the same time as you’re warming your home. If you want the flexibility of also being able to burn smokeless coal as well as wood then there’s an optional drop-in cast iron reciprocating grate with separate ash pan which can be conveniently externally riddled.
