HWAM 2640M WITH LOG STORE
If you're looking for a contemporary stove that makes a strong visual statement then look no further than the state-of-the-art Hwam 2640M with its sleek all-over glass fronted fire chamber door and its handy log store. Striking good looks and outstanding performance come as standard with this A+ rated 80.3% wood burner. The Hwam 2640M's Ecodesign clean burn credentials have been Defra approved so that you can legally burn wood with the minimum emissions in an urban area. In addition the Hwam 2640M has passed the tough German DIBt room seal standard which ensures that this is a stove that will be virtually foolproof when operated in a low energy home, such as passive house, or a home with MVHR, and when potentially subjected to adverse room pressure.
The Hwam 2640M has a nominal 4.5kW output with a practical heat range from 2.0kW to 6.0kW (depending on fuel load) which will allow you to use your stove far more often throughout the year. This is managed with Hwam's single slider control, combined with the AutoPilot system which comes as standard, to allow you to precisely control the heat and flame height to maximise fuel efficiency with the minimum of user input. That's because the tried and tested Hwam Autopilot will do most of the work for you and automatically provide the correct amount of critical primary air that's needed for quicker starting fires and for cleaner combustion right up to the end of the burn cycle. Hwam also give you the option to upgrade the 2640M with their advanced SmartControl (only available in build stage) which will allow you to set the room temperature and receive gentle reminders when the stove needs to be reloading. With this device you'll never need to worry about how to achieve the optimum and most eco-friendly performance.
The Hwam 2640M comes from one of the world's leading stove makers so that you can rest assured that it sets a very high benchmark in terms of its design detail, use of premium materials and build quality as well as its advanced combustion technology. Among the stand-outs the Hwam 2640M features a well balanced all-over glass-fronted fire chamber door which incorporates Hwam's unique door closing mechanism to ensure that there's a tight fitting room seal every time with the minimum of effort. There's a big gently curved window, which is larger than most, and which is air washed from the top and both sides for more effective cleaning. A larger lower pressed steel door, which you simply push to open, carries through the 2640M's clean modern lines and conceals the ash pan compartment with its separate ash pan as well as providing some generous storage space for logs.
The 2640M's fire chamber is as good as it gets being lined with highly engineered and tightly fitting compressed vermiculite fire bricks for superior insulation that promotes the higher temperatures required for the cleanest combustion. The vermiculite panelling set also has curved corners to help avoid creating any of the cold spots that many fireboxes possess and which can reduce efficiency. Pre-heated tertiary air jets towards the top of the fire chamber also aid the Hwam 2640M's clean combustion credentials by burning off even more of any remaining particulates before they leave the fire chamber. As you'd expect from a DIBt accredited stove the Hwam 2640M also features direct external air supply capability which has the advantage of being able to be input from either the rear or base.
The Hwam 2640M's compact semi-circular footprint and low distances to combustible materials, as well as its impressive1 metre height will not only make it a stunning free-standing focal point positioned along a wall but will ensure that it will also look equally great installed in a space-saving corner setting. Check out the alternative 2640C with its classic cast iron door as well as the 2630 models that feature side windows.
