Delivery

The Stove Yard delivers stoves and flue components all over the United Kingdom including mainland England, Wales, Isle of Man, Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as the Republic of Ireland. When you place your order with The Stove Yard you will be informed within 24 hours whether your stove choice is in stock, either by email or by telephone. If the stove is in stock at our warehouses (we have five), then once your payment has been cleared, delivery by our partner carrier will be authorised immediately. Because of the large size and tremendous weight of a cast iron stoves we have to keep delivery costs to a minimum and therefore we use a 2 to 3 working day delivery service.

Please note that some remote locations, such as the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and parts of the Republic of Ireland, may only have one delivery per week. Wherever you live, you can be assured that at The Stove Yard we will always do our very best to get your stove to you as quickly and as safely as possible and on a day which is convenient to you. With our normal 2 to 3 day delivery service you can stipulate the day (except weekends) with most stoves being delivered by lunchtime. However, our carrier can deliver at any time between 8.00 in the morning and 5.30 in the afternoon. If you call either of The Stove Yard showrooms in Co Down (028 9181 4443) or Cheshire (01477 533 535) on the expected delivery day (we're open from 9.30 until 5.30) we can usually give you a more accurate time of arrival.

For locations such as the Channel Islands, please contact us to arrange a delivery price.

Help us to help you

Deliveries will normally be made with a large truck which has a tail-lift and then via a pallet truck. If you think that we may have difficulty delivering your stove then you must advise us at the time of placing your order so that we can hopefully make suitable alternative arrangements. Steps, deep gravel drives, narrow lanes etc could be potentially problematic and you should therefore let us know about any potential problems. In such instances where a delivery fails because you have not informed us of such a problem then we must reserve the right to charge you for the failed delivery. Please also ensure that there will be someone (preferably reasonably strong) at the property to help the driver unload and safely stow your stove should they perhaps require any help. In line with delivery policies from all other UK and Irish pallet network courier services, the driver is only obliged to deliver the pallet with your stove on it to the edge of your property, but we're pleased to say that in most instances they are generally happy to wheel the stove into a garage or similar easy access location. Health and safety and insurance policies dictate that there are certain things that unfortunately he will be unable to do and we would be grateful if you would respect the driver's judgment on such matters. Having said that, virtually all of our deliveries happen without a hitch.

Stock

We always keep good stocks of our stoves available, particularly the popular lower and mid priced models. Unfortunately and very occasionally, we may be awaiting delivery of some of the higher value items. In these cases we will immediately advise you of the likely timescale before we begin processing your order. In such instances all delivery times are given to you in good faith and will be based on what we have been told by the particular stove manufacturer or distributor and unfortunately their circumstances can change without them giving The Stove Yard any prior notice. However, we will always do our utmost to stick to delivery dates and to make purchasing and receiving your stove as trouble-free as possible.

Receiving your stove

This is for your benefit as much as ours – only sign for your stove once you are satisfied that it has been delivered in good condition. if you suspect it has been damaged in transit or the packaging has been tampered with then please feel free to quickly unpack and examine your stove whilst the delivery man waits. He'll be used to it so don't feel embarrassed. In the unlikely event of the stove incurring damage during transit please inform us immediately by telephone. Remember we want to make sure that you are entirely satisfied with your purchase from The Stove Yard.
