You'd like to think that everybody who sells stoves understands the products they're selling and that the people fitting stoves know exactly what they're doing. Sadly this is not always the case. At The Stove Yard in Cheshire we think that where you buy your stove and who fits it are two important considerations that deserve your full attention before you make your final choice of new stove.
You need to be sure that the stove you have chosen is exactly the right one for you and your home and that it also represents the best possible value. You also need to be totally confident that whoever eventually installs it is fully aware of the potential dangers that a poorly fitted stove can pose to property and life – and what you really want to know is that they're going to stand by their product and their installation service and be around to help you if you ever have a warranty problem or need a spare part long after the stove was originally installed.
At The Stove Yard we've been responsible for successfully installing thousands of wood burning and multi fuel stoves in the Cheshire and the South Manchester area for well over a decade and a high proportion of our customers come from referrals. We're founding members of the Stove Industry Alliance (SIA) and our Technical Director sits on both the SIA and Hetas Technical Committees as well as the Hetas Installation Committee, all of which help to develop best installation practices. We are also represented on the British Standards Institute (BSI) Committee responsible for the recent update of BS8303 regarding the installation of stoves.
We set ourselves the highest standards for both our products and our staff – and that goes for every installer we work with. We like to think that they're actually the best possible stove installers in Cheshire, not only because they think the same way as we do, but also because ultimately they will always have our customers' safety and interests at heart. All of this means that when you buy your new wood burner from The Stove Yard you really are going to be in safe, expert hands and that your installation will conform to all relevant Building Regulations. Importantly, your stove installation will also be certified by Hetas, OFTEC or Building Control as appropriate. We won't do it any other way.
Call in and see us in our Holmes Chapel showroom and if you can, please bring along any plans or fireplace photographs, and we'll be able to quickly determine your initial requirements and provide you with a likely 'ballpark' cost. If you're happy to proceed then we will organise a free comprehensive installation survey along with a detailed written quotation. We believe that you'll be very hard-pushed to get better service, better advice or better value for money.

Please note We are unable to arrange the installation of stoves that have not been purchased from The Stove Yard and are unable to provide advice on pre-existing installations.
