The Northern Ireland Assembly's Climate Bill
and the stove industry's response

In February 2020 the Northern Ireland Assembly declared a climate emergency. The Climate Bill aims to ensure that Northern Ireland meets legally binding net-zero carbon emissions targets by 2045. Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK without such targets. In March of this year the Republic of Ireland approved a similar bill with a net-zero target by 2050. All of this is to limit the consequences of climate change.

DRIFTWOOD – THE DEADLIEST FIREWOOD IN THE WORLD

Free fuel, what could be better? Well, just about anything else actually. It might look great with its smooth sun-bleached and apparently bone dry, bark-free surfaces but I'm pleased to tell you that I know much better now. Grills Just Wanna Have Fun

Road-testing Traeger Grills at The Stove Yard this Saturday

It's one of the nice things about working at The Stove Yard – when the weather starts getting better we get to thinking about cooking outdoors and to start planning our famous demonstrations on the barbecues and grills we sell. We're all big fans of cooking outdoors so our regular Saturday morning demos are no real hardship for us and of course, along with our customers, we also get to tuck into whatever we've rustled up...

State-of-the-art Ecodesign Boiler Stoves

by Richard Poulter May 14, 2021 0 min read

They're boiler stoves Jim, but not as we know them.

At The Stove Yard in the early days we built our business in Ireland on the back of sky rocketing oil prices and multi fuel central heating boiler stoves. With energy prices eventually settling down and with virtually everyone and his uncle having installed one, boiler stove sales eventually settled down. With the introduction of the tough Ecodesign emissions regulations at the end of this year it seemed to everyone that boiler stoves would come to the end of the road. But will they? Read more...
